Position Details

  • $68,884 – $83,640 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term, 12 months
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Bendigo (flexibility may be available)

The Project Officer, Apiary and Chemicals will provide project and administrative assistance and support to apiary and chemical staff across Victoria. Excellent administrative and relationship building skills are required in this role, together with advanced computer skills.

For appointment to this position, you will demonstrate –

  • high level computer and software skills, including the use of the Microsoft Office suite;
  • excellent organisational skills with the ability to take initiative, prioritise workloads and work within tight timelines and with limited supervision;
  • demonstrated problem-solving skills, and ability to initiate, develop and implement improved systems or processes to meet identified needs;
  • proven ability to work independently as well as in a team, establishing positive and effective working relationships;
  • demonstrated experience in planning and organising tasks and resources required to achieve a goal, with the ability to recognise barriers and find effective ways to deal with them and implement necessary changes; and
  • well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels with a mature, friendly and confident personal style.

The position of Project Officer, Apiary and Chemicals is part of the Biosecurity and Agriculture Services branch in the Agriculture Victoria group.  Agriculture Victoria works with industry and community stakeholders to support the agriculture, food and fibre sector to become more globally competitive, innovative and resilient.
