The position of Senior Regulatory Policy Officer, Continuous Improvement Program forms a part of the Resources division, Continuous Improvement Program branch within the Employment, Investment and Trade group.

The Employment, Investment and Trade Group delivers programs and services to grow the Victorian economy.  Its focus is on creating jobs and raising incomes through industry development, targeted investment and increasing export value of Victorian firms.

Reporting to the Policy Reform Lead, Continuous Improvement Program, you will be responsible for improving Earth Resources Regulation (ERR)'s regulatory practice by setting operational policy, through reform and improvement initiatives, to ensure regulatory processes are fit for purpose and operate efficiently and effectively.

To be successful in this role, you will have an appropriate tertiary qualification in public policy, economics and/or extensive experience in these areas.  You will have well-development analytical and conceptual skills as well as experience and a record of achievement in regulatory policy development.  The ability to operate effectively in a changing environment, identifying and responding to new and emerging issues is a must.  Experience delivering complex projects along with experience in the development of earth resources sector, or equivalent, policy would be well regarded.
