PROGRAM MONITORING OFFICER

  • $81,354 - $92,304  (Plus Superannuation)
  • Ongoing 
  • Usual hours of work: Part Time;  4 days per week (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Melbourne, CBD  (flexibility may be available)

 

The position of Program Monitoring Officer forms a part of the Network Strategy Branch in Policy and Reform Division within Transport for Victoria Group.

Transport for Victoria (DEDJTR) is led by the Head, Transport for Victoria and staffed by DEDJTR employees. They are responsible for the creation of transport system policy and reforms, legislative development, network planning, asset and network development, rolling stock development, operational coordination and investment and engagement with users and Transport for Victoria agencies, including PTV and VicRoads.

The Program Monitoring Officer sits in the Road Safety Planning team in Transport for Victoria.

With the support of other team members, this role is responsible for monitoring and drafting reports on the delivery of the road safety policy program being delivered by VicRoads, Victoria Police, the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), Department of Health and Department of Justice and Regulation and Transport for Victoria.  The role will also monitor and draft reports on Victoria's contribution to the National Road Safety Strategy.

Underpinning Towards Zero is the “safe system” approach to road safety.  The role requires close collaboration with the government road safety partner, and a sound understanding of the safe system approach and the function of each partner in creating safe system.

The successful applicant will work effectively as a member of a team, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across the division.  The successful applicant will need to show experience in taking complex issues and working through these issues with key stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes.

Desired Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience working in a PMO environment as a Program Monitoring Officer, PMO Officer or equivalent role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project.
