Position Details

Principal Advisor – Network Pipeline

  • $120,692 to $161,511 plus superannuation
  • Fixed Term (12 months)
  • Usual Work Hours: Full Time (flexibility may be available)

The Network Integration Division delivers on the transport portfolio's priorities through the development and delivery of an integrated pipeline of projects and support the Major Transport Infrastructure Program.

The Network Pipeline Branch is responsible for developing the Department's Transport Program Pipeline, identifying, evaluating, prioritising and developing integrated transport system improvements to provide a sustainable transport system and optimise investment in the network to meet user needs.

Reporting to the Acting Director – Network Pipeline, the key area of focus for the role will be refreshing the existing pipeline process and establishing a strategic framework for transport infrastructure investment. In addition, the role will require reviewing project business cases to ensure alignment with a broader investment strategy, and utilising strong stakeholder management across the transport portfolio, central agencies and Ministers to ensure relevant information from across the portfolio is consolidated, analysed and articulated.

In this role you will be responsible for establishing the necessary systems, tools and administrative processes to support tracking and analysis of transport projects, as well as collecting, collating and analysing data and information on transport investments and connecting these insights to maximise community and government benefit from major transport investments.

This position has a requirement to work shift or out of hours work and will involve evening or week work including occasional overnight travel.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with the Department.
