The position of Communications and Engagement Advisor forms a part of the Insights and Engagement  Branch in Operational Coordination  Division within the Transport for Victoria  Group.

Transport for Victoria within DEDJTR, is led by the Head, Transport for Victoria, and is responsible for the creation of transport system policy and reforms, legislative development, network planning, asset and network development, rolling stock development, operational coordination and investment, and engagement with users and Transport for Victoria agencies, including PTV and VicRoads.

The Communications and Engagement Advisor – Network Changes will develop and implement communications and stakeholder engagement strategies for service changes to the public transport network for Transport for Victoria (DEDJTR). The Advisor will be responsible for ensuring all communications, stakeholder and community engagement activity is delivered in accordance with Transport for Victoria's frameworks to ensure high quality outcomes for customers. The role has a strong focus on best practice stakeholder and community engagement.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent written, editing and verbal communication skills, including extensive experience in writing communications and engagement plans and media responses. You should also have proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver against defined communications and engagement plans on time and on budget.

A tertiary qualification in communications or public relations, International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) accreditation or extensive experience as a communications and engagement specialist will be highly regarded.
