The position of Manager, Network Operational Readiness forms a part of the Network Transition Branch in Asset and Networks Division within Transport for Victoria Group.

Reporting to the Director Network Transition, this position is responsible for leading a team to coordinate the successful transition of projects onto the Victorian Transport Network.  This includes coordinating across State major projects which are currently upgrading and expanding the rail and road network, working with the rail operators, as well as other key stakeholders in the expanding the transport system.  The role involves understanding and identifying readiness activities to ensure a smooth transition to integrate the new projects into the Victorian Transport Network to achieve the Government's transport agenda, bringing significant economic value across the State.

The successful applicant will work effectively as a member of a team, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across Transport for Victoria and portfolio partners including the Office of the Co-ordinator General, Public Transport Victoria, VicRoads, other Government departments and a wide range of industry stakeholders including local councils and the community, as well as relevant Ministers and other DEDJTR Groups.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of the transport network, current transport network issues, key government priorities for its development.
  • A proven track record of developing constructive relationships by effectively managing the competing demands of diverse stakeholders, interest groups, the community and the Government
  • Ability to critically examine proposed solution options with regard to cost, feasibility and alignment with Government policies and strategies.
