Senior Internal Auditor

The position of Senior Internal Auditor forms a part of the Ministerial and Portfolio Services division of the Corporate Services group.

This position works collaboratively within the Audit, Risk and Integrity Branch as well as the broader DJPR.  The role is responsible for internal audit delivery, including via a co-sourced arrangement with a contracted service provider, and for the coordination, support and advice on matters related to performance audits by the Victorian Auditor General's Office (VAGO). In addition, the role will undertake follow-up activities to confirm the implementation of audit recommendations across DJPR and contribute to improving internal audit processes and methodology.

In this role you will be required to undertake end-to-end audits or assigned parts of internal audits which may cover aspects of audit scoping, fieldwork and reporting, including engaging with audited business areas. You will also contribute to internal audit practice improvement initiatives and other projects within the branch.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience conducting end-to-end audits and applying relevant portions of the International Professional Practices Framework and industry-accepted controls framework to internal audit assignments. You will also have experience in leading parts of internal audit projects and the ability to select and apply appropriate data sampling and analysis techniques for internal audit.
