Senior Officer Survey and GIS

The Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) was established in 2015 to oversee the largest rail infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, including the elimination of 50 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne by 2022. To date, 26 level crossings have been removed, 14 train stations have been rebuilt, new track has been laid, and three level crossing removals are now in construction. The Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) has an opportunity available for a Senior Officer Survey GIS to join the Engineering and Program Services team.

Reporting to the Spatial Manager, the Senior Officer Survey and GIS will be responsible for managing survey requirements for Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) and provide advice and guidance to all project teams to ensure survey and GIS data is appropriately created and managed throughout the project life cycle but with particular focus on final completion records.

Key to your application will be your experience in working in a complex multi-disciplinary major project delivery organisation, combined with your experience in procuring cadastral surveys, providing surveying advice and reviewing survey plans, drawings, documents and calculations. Your knowledge of Office of Surveyor General and Land Registry processes and requirements relating to land plan production. Your strong ability to build strong working relationships and work autonomously in a fast-paced project environment will also ensure your success in this critical role.
