Senior Land and Property Adviser

The Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) was established in 2015 to oversee the largest rail infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, including the elimination of 50 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne by 2022. To date, 29 level crossings have been removed, 18 train stations have been rebuilt, new track has been laid, and three level crossing removals are now in construction. Senior Land and Property Adviser

  • High-profile rail infrastructure project
  • Salary range of $116,863 - $156,387 plus superannuation
  • One full time, fixed term VPS 6 opportunity for up to 3 years

The Senior Land and Property Adviser provides authoritative advice to project delivery teams on land and property issues relating to the delivery of the project. This includes managing or assisting in all matters relating to the identification, leasing and management of property and where necessary, acquisition of land for project purposes utilising the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act 2009. 

Key to your application will be your:

  • Your understanding of Government legislation, policies and processes relating to land management, valuation, acquisition and disposal.
  • Ability and proven experience in assisting with or managing land and property issues, including private and Crown land, preferably in a major project context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and your ability to deliver or support effective stakeholder relationship management.
