Project Officer, Grains Knowledge Broker

  • $66,699 - $80,987 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term till 30 June 2019
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Horsham or Bendigo (flexibility may be available)

The position of Project Officer, Grains Knowledge Broker forms a part of the Agriculture Services Division within Employment, Investment and Trade Group.

The Employment, Investment and Trade Group delivers programs and services to grow the Victorian economy.  Its focus is on creating jobs and raising incomes through industry development, targeted investment and increasing the export value of Victorian firms.

The Project Officer, Grains Knowledge Broker will report to the Program Manager Grains Industry Networks and will make a key contribution to Agriculture Victoria's service offer to support the grains sector in utilising digital technologies to provide the growers and service providers with real-time information to improve crop productivity, grain yield and quality and biosecurity practice. 

The role will contribute to the delivery of the GRDC funded GrowNotes™ Alert, GRDC Communities Field Crop Diseases projects and contribute to the development and delivery of the GRDC Winter Crop Summary. You will create a collaborative approach to delivery through partnerships. 

To be successful in this role you will have an excellent understanding of the use of digital technologies, eLearn and social media in agriculture-related projects, including the use of analytics to measure impact of these projects. Experience and ability to manage projects from the initiation and project design stage through to final evaluation, with an emphasis on achieving a beneficial impact for the industry is vital to the role.
