Rail Projects Victoria (RPV), formerly known as Melbourne Metro Rail Authority, is the Victorian Government body responsible for the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project, Regional Rail Revival, the high speed rail link between Geelong and Melbourne and the future Melbourne Airport Link. RPV is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning and development of a project reference design, site investigations, stakeholder engagement, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning. RPV has assembled a skilled team of highly experienced professionals from across the public and private sectors to ensure the objectives of its projects are achieved for the Victorian community. The Project Engineer will need the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

About the Opportunity

RPV is seeking to engage multiple Project Managers to join our client-side team in Melbourne, Australia. Our Project Managers are responsible for the management of design, development and delivery of complex rail infrastructure works. These roles will lead the design, development and construction planning of major rail projects and require project management experience in infrastructure projects including integration across multiple rail and other disciplines. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders is fundamental for success in this role. As a result of RPV's expanding project portfolio, we are seeking to recruit individuals who have demonstrated experience working in rail and/or other infrastructure project environments.

RPV is interested in applicants with experience in civil/structural design, traction power, tunnelling, signalling, project management and safety.

About you

To be successful in obtaining this role you will have experience across:

  • Experience managing the development, planning, design, construction, completion and/or handover of major rail and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of rail and/or infrastructure projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget whilst meeting or exceeding project requirements and realising key benefits.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build effective relationships and work productively with a range of stakeholders.
