The position of Principal Investment Adviser forms a part of the Suburban Rail Loop branch within the Precincts and Suburbs group.

The newly established Precincts and Suburbs Group drives strategic planning for precincts, suburbs and places to create vibrant, distinct and innovative communities. The Suburban Rail Loop branch is responsible for developing the Precincts Strategy to support the delivery of the proposed new underground rail network connecting Melbourne's suburbs.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Suburban Rail Loop this position will be responsible for leading the development of advice relating to investment in precincts as part of the Suburban Rail Loop project, taking a substantial role in shaping the broader implementation planning for the project. The role will coordinate the modelling and economic analysis for precinct development and lead innovative change and sustainable delivery of programs through strategic and collaborative partnerships.

To be successful in this position you will have expertise in developing and presenting investment and / or planning advice with demonstrated modelling and economic analysis capabilities. A tertiary degree in economics or relevant public policy would be well regarded. The ability to influence and build effective partnerships will be key to leading and delivering key programs.
