Risk Manager

MTIA is established as an Administrative Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation, comprising skilled and experienced staff across the various professional disciplines involved in transport infrastructure project delivery. Led by the Director-General, it has five key groups: Level Crossing Removal Project, Major Road Projects Victoria, the North East Link Project, Rail Projects Victoria and the West Gate Tunnel Project. The Minister for Transport Infrastructure is the responsible Minister for the projects which are developed and delivered by MTIA.

About the opportunity

The Risk Manager will work within the Office of the Director-General to provide advice and support on issues relating to the oversight of the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA). The position will be responsible for ensuring MTIA takes a proactive, best practice and coordinated approach to risk management. The Risk Manager will report to the Deputy Director, Assurance, Risk and Compliance. 

About you

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of policy and regulatory obligations in the Victorian Government context, particularly as they apply in a project delivery environment. Critical elements of the role will be ensuring a consistency of approach across MTIA, outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, and a keen eye for detail.
