The position of Manager, Precincts Design forms a part of the Precincts Design branch within Precincts and Suburbs.

The Precinct Design branch provides the design capability across the Precincts and Suburbs Group to deliver the government's ambition for priority precincts. It champions exemplar place outcomes, drives great urban experiences and environments and enables distinctive and thriving places and inclusive communities. It leverages the expertise and investment of partners and promotes a culture of innovation and adaptability.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Precinct Design this key offers the opportunity to lead innovative precinct design approaches to create the greatest positive place-based impacts.

With a passion to create outstanding places and the capability to lead strategic partnerships across government, industry and the community, key aspects of this role include:

  • Championing and leading the development of urban design strategies and initiatives
  • Managing evidence-based approach for large scale urban renewal projects
  • Provision of expert, strategic advice and development of precinct design capability to facilitate delivery of the government's vision

To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated experience in urban design and large-scale place renewal projects with a proven track record of leading and motivating high performing teams. A tertiary degree in urban design, strategic planning, architecture or a related discipline with highly developed analytical and conceptual capability is required.
