The position of Senior Infrastructure Adviser forms a part of the Precinct Design branch within the newly established Precincts and Suburbs Group.

The Precinct Design branch provides the design capability across the Precincts and Suburbs Group to deliver the government's ambition for priority precincts.  It champions exemplar place outcomes, drives great urban experiences and environments and enables distinctive and thriving places and inclusive communities.  It leverages the expertise and investment of partners and promotes a culture of innovation and adaptability.

Reporting to the Manager, Funding and Infrastructure this position will be responsible for developing new model approaches to infrastructure delivery for priority precints.

As part of a high performing team, key accountabilities will also include:

  • Administer a range of infrastructure projects and develop infrastructure funding and delivery approaches with an initial focus on Fishermans Bend
  • Prepare business cases and prepare Value Creation and Capture Strategies for priority precincts
  • Collaborate with precinct partners across state and local government, utilities and service providers and industry stakeholders to deliver outcomes

The successful candidate will have previous experience of commercial infrastructure delivery with a relevant tertiary qualification in economics, development, finance, planning or engineering desirable. The position will suit a self-starter who enjoys taking on challenges and exhibits a strong delivery focus. Strong relationships and communication skills will be required to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
