The position of Senior Project Manager forms a part of the Precinct Delivery branch within the newly established Precincts and Suburbs Group. The Precincts and Suburbs Group drives strategic planning for precincts, suburbs and places to create vibrant, distinct and innovative communities. We work to create more jobs for Victorians, thriving communities and sustainable growth by prioritising, sequencing, designing and delivering precinct and suburban developments.

The Precinct Delivery Branch provides whole-of-government precinct development and capital project assistance, facilitation and business case development services.

Reporting to the Director, Commercial Delivery this position will manage the development of Priority Precincts and National Employment and Innovation Clusters (NEICs). As a senior member of a dynamic team, the role will directly contribute to the Victorian Government's investment and job creation priorities, offering the opportunity to be directly involved in the development and curated growth of particular geographical areas in Melbourne of state significance.

Leading whole-of-government coordination activities for state significant Precincts the position will also participate in the development of advice to senior management on various commercial issues, create structures for the effective monitoring of contractual obligations.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated high level management expertise in the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects together with exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. A working knowledge and experience in government, the construction or professional services industries would be well regarded.
