Group Manager, Community Infrastructure Programs
- Salary: $142,790 - $191,084 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term role: until 30 June 2027
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
The Role
The Group Manager, Community Infrastructure Programs is accountable for leading and managing a range of internal and external partnerships that leverage outcomes, creating collaborative investment opportunities and overseeing best practice investment program administration and development.
Main accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the development, implementation and evaluation of Victorian Government community sport and recreation infrastructure investment programs.
- Lead the development of program guidelines, Ministerial briefings, resource allocation and corporate reporting to ensure programs continuously improve and are conducted consistent with best practice and modern Government expectations.
- Provide team leadership, mentoring and support to team members, including Program Managers and Program coordinators to ensure professional, timely and effective delivery of programs.
- Work with other Victorian Government departments, agencies, and stakeholders to maximise policy consistency and co-investment into community sports infrastructure.
The Team
The position of Group Manager, Community Infrastructure Programs forms a part of the Community Sport and Recreation branch within the Sport and Experience Economy group.
Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) Group delivers programs and initiatives to support positive experiences and a sense of belonging through sport, tourism, events and outdoor recreation – sectors that make Victoria a recognised leader from the grassroots level to the international stage and deliver significant economic, social and health benefits for the state.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Program and Work Management: produces program plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified; regularly communicates and supports program team members; ensures program objectives are met by anticipating and managing potential and emerging issues.
- People Management: able to encourage and coordinate the performance of a group of people so that, collectively, they deliver on agreed outcomes.
- Effective Communication: prepares written materials using clear, concise and grammatically correct language; ensures written communications contain necessary information to achieve their purpose.
