Position Details

Project Coordinator, Major Projects

  • $85,279 - $96,759 p.a. plus superannuation
  • Fixed Term – 2 years
  • Usual hours of work:  Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

Reporting to the Project Manager, State Facilities within the branch of Sport and Recreation, the Project Coordinator will be focused on ongoing development of the State's national and international standard sporting competition and event facilities, with particular involvement in the ongoing Melbourne Park Redevelopment and overseeing the operations of the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust.

As a member of the State Facilities, Major Projects and Camps team, the successful applicant will work within a small dynamic team, liaising with a wide range of sporting and public sector stakeholders to support strategic planning, business planning, project management, and the provision of high-level advice on sporting facility matters.

The role will support the Group Manager and Project Manager in providing high quality written and verbal advice on the progress and outcomes of the Melbourne Park Redevelopment, along with operations for the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust. The role will be responsible for managing funding agreements, development of briefings and correspondence, and will attend project meetings on behalf of the department.
