Position Details

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

  • $68,884- $83,640 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term, 12 months
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Bendigo

To be eligible to be considered for this position you must be a current Victorian Public Service (VPS) employee employed on an ongoing, fixed term or casual basis.

The Administration Officer works as part of a small team to coordinate and administer a management framework that supports a commercial and sustainable wildlife harvest program.  This includes processing and registration of commercial harvesters and the monitoring and allocation of quota and required reporting.  On occasion, this role will be required to work across other GMA teams to provide support for other licensing and compliance functions.  This will include providing support during peak periods to ensure business continuity for licencing functions as well as providing support to monitor and facilitate training for compliance staff.

The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate –

  • well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders;
  • well-developed written communication skills;
  • capacity to identify continuous improvement opportunities and ways to innovate;
  • proven ability to work as part of a team;
  • experience in administrative roles, with demonstrated proficiency in record keeping and the ability to use a range of software applications for word processing, spreadsheets and project management; and
  • skills in self-management and priority setting.

The position of Administration Officer is part of the Stakeholder & Hunting Programs division.  Stakeholder and Hunting Programs focusses on maintaining and managing hunting stakeholder relationships and providing practical and useful advice, education, licensing and training to hunters, to increase voluntary compliance.
