MANAGER, DEPARTMENT REPORTING

  • $118,908 - $159,124 plus superannuation

As part of the Machinery of Government changes announced by the Premier of Victoria, from 1 Jan 2019 DEDJTR has transitioned into the Department of Transport (DoT) & the Department of Jobs, Precincts & Regions (DJPR). The position of Manager Department Reporting forms a part of Financial Management Division within the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR).

 

The Manager Department Reporting is responsible for managing a team to meet DEDJTR and Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) monthly financial accounting and reporting requirements, establish and maintain general ledger integrity processes and produce the annual DEDJTR financial statements. This role is key in ensuring DEDJTR financial reporting responsibilities are fulfilled.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Financial skills: Excellent financial skills and demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Understanding of government: Strong working knowledge of key processes involved in government accounting and finance, including the operation of Financial Management Act 1994 and Standing Directions.
