Transport Safety Victoria (TSV) is Victoria's integrated safety regulator for bus, maritime & rail transport. TSV regulates the safety of all marine, train, tram & bus operations in Victoria, both directly, & through service arrangements with the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator & the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. It is headed by the Director, Transport Safety.

TSV's role is to ensure safe public transport and boating for all Victorians.

Director, Bus Safety

  • $185,711 - $240,789 (Total Remuneration Package)

The Director, Bus Safety provides a key leadership role in the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives for TSV. This position also plays a pivotal role in ensuring that TSV provides effective risk based actions that demonstrably reduce fatalities and serious harm.

The role will proactively contribute to transport safety regulatory reform by developing evidence based policy proposals to improve bus safety across the sector. The role leads TSV's bus operator accreditation and registration functions and monitoring and enforcement of compliance with legislative obligations.  The role drives stakeholder engagement and consultation activities across the bus sector and provides innovative strategic advice on how to improve bus safety to the Director, Transport Safety.
