The position of Human Resource Business Partner forms a part of the Corporate Services Branch within Transport Safety Victoria (TSV).

TSV is Victoria's integrated safety regulator for bus, maritime & rail transport.  It is headed by the Director, Transport Safety whose statutory  object is to independently seek the highest transport safety standards consistent with the transport system's vision & objectives under the Transport Integration Act 2010.

The position reports to the Manager, People and Culture and is responsible for providing specialist support across Transport Safety Victoria (TSV) to deliver integrated HR and development strategies, provide high quality strategic and operational HR advice, and assist with core HR duties to ensure TSV has an engaged and high performing workforce.

The incumbent, will work closely with TSV managers and staff to provide expert advice on a wide range of people matters such as performance management, recruitment, workforce planning and health and safety.

To be successful in this role you will have strong business acumen with an ability to understand organisational opportunities and challenges and translate these into people plans to build high performing teams. You should have expert knowledge across the employment life cycle, contemporary people practices and experience developing and implementing development initiatives to build capability.
