MANAGER - FISHERIES SYSTEMS AND REFORM

  • $120,692 - $161,511 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed term (2 years)
  • Usual Work Hours: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Melbourne, CBD (flexibility may be available)

Reporting to the Director – Fisheries Policy and Licensing, the Manager - Fisheries Systems and Reform works with the Victorian Fisheries Authority, (VFA), and is responsible for managing Victoria's fisheries and aquatic resources; and encouraging the development of an economically efficient fishing industry that maximises the value of fish production.

The Manager - Fisheries Systems and Reform is a pivotal position within the VFA, and will provide the Director, Senior Executives, the VFA Board and Minister well-informed expert advice to reform and improve service quality, through identifying future needs to deliver effective business outcomes. It will also lead the development and implementation of efficient and suitable systems and processes, and deliver on Government election commitments. 

The position will be responsible for ensuring informed decision making regarding major initiatives to reform and improve VFA systems and technology, for VFA employees and stakeholders. 

The is a senior position within the VFA and is a member of the VFA Leadership Team.  The position will be expected to contribute to and champion people development issues and actively demonstrate a culture of inclusiveness and engagement to create a working environment that values people and the contribution they make.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with the Department.
