Position Details

Research Scientist

  • $60,114 - $82,404 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term – 2 years 
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Horsham

The position of Research Scientist forms a part of the Agriculture Victoria Research branch within the Agriculture Victoria group.

Reporting to the Senior Research Scientist, you will fulfil a key scientific role in the pulse breeding and research team developing and deploying cutting edge technologies related to high-throughput phenotypic data acquisition and analysis.

To be successful in this role, you will have an effective working knowledge of computers and common software applications along with experience in experimental design and the collection, maintenance and analysis of diverse types of data.  This position requires well-developed verbal, written and presentation skills, and an ability to understand user needs.  A degree in Agricultural Science, Science, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
