• Salary: $100,894 – $114,476 plus superannuation
• Fixed term role: to 30 June 2027
• Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
• Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)

The Role

Reporting to the Group Manager – Sport & Entertainment Precincts, the Project Coordinator supports the ongoing development and management of Victoria's strategic sport infrastructure network.

As part of the Professional Sport and Tourism Infrastructure Unit, you will work within a dynamic team to support strategic planning, business planning, project management activities and the delivery of high-level advice relating to Victoria's State Facilities network. The role involves liaising with a diverse range of sporting organisations, public sector stakeholders and industry partners to support the planning, development and management of strategic sport infrastructure projects and programs.

The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills and be able to manage competing priorities to achieve outcomes within required timeframes.

Main Accountabilities

• Support the planning, development and management of Victoria's strategic sport infrastructure projects and programs to achieve Victorian Government policy outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality reports, submissions, briefings and correspondence for Ministers and senior departmental stakeholders.
• Manage and administer funding agreements relating to government investment in strategic sport infrastructure projects and programs.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across Victoria's public sector and sport and recreation industry.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, business planning and monitoring and evaluation activities within the unit and broader department.

The Team

The position of Project Coordinator, Sport and Entertainment Precincts forms part of the Professional Sport and Tourism Infrastructure Unit within the Sport and Experience Economy Group.

The Sport and Experience Economy Group delivers programs and initiatives that support positive experiences and a sense of belonging through sport, tourism, events and outdoor recreation. The group supports the delivery of sport and tourism infrastructure projects, strengthens participation and engagement, and contributes to economic growth, job creation and stronger Victorian communities.

Sport and Recreation Victoria works to maximise the economic and social benefits of sport and recreation by improving access and participation opportunities, supporting major sporting events and investing in community and high-performance sporting infrastructure.

About You

You will bring knowledge of project management principles and practices, along with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing briefs, reports and correspondence for a range of audiences.

You will also demonstrate a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement and relationship management, with the ability to build productive partnerships across government, industry and community organisations.
