The position of Senior Recruitment Advisor forms a part of the People and Culture branch within the Corporate Services group.

People & Culture is a multi-disciplinary team which operates within the Corporate Services Group of DJPR. It is a strategic, tactical and operational function, supporting the achievement of the department's objectives by providing excellent service and trusted advice. It has a clear focus on adding value to the department by supporting the Executive Board to drive DJPR's organisational culture through a range of strategies and initiatives.

The Senior Recruitment Advisor is responsible for the coordination of the end to end recruitment processes and services to the Group.  The role requires strong attention to detail, strong organisational skills and effective communication. The Senior Recruitment Advisor will support a team of recruitment advisors and will be an escalation point for more complex queries.

The key accountabilities of the role are:

  • Assist Team Leader, Recruitment to review, develop and implement best practice recruitment policies and procedures for VPS employees and agency on hire contractors.
  • Coordinate end to end recruitment services for designated clients including reviewing position descriptions, developing advertisements, coordinating selection processes and ensuring correct processes and procedures are followed.
  • Provide guidance and support and act as an escalation point for Recruitment Advisors and clients to resolve recruitment queries and issues.
  • Liaise with, and provide authoritative advice to, Team Leader, Recruitment, recruitment advisors, HR Business Partners, Business Managers, hiring managers and candidates on a range of VPS recruitment and agency on-hire queries in a timely manner.
  • Support process improvement activities across the team, including the preparation of ad hoc and participate in other projects and ad-hoc duties as required.
