The Team

The position of Cabinet Services Officer forms a part of the Strategy, Performance & Governance Branch within the Delivery Group.

Corporate Services actively supports Ministers and DJPR portfolio groups to create the conditions for sustainable economic development and employment growth. Corporate Services works collaboratively to deliver integrated and operational functions across the department, leading the development of governance, people, culture, systems and capability. It comprises Financial Management; Legal and Legislation; Information Services; Workplace Services and Procurement Governance and Support. Corporate Services deliver service excellence through collaboration with DPR partners, stakeholders and clients.

The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, Cabinet and Legislation, this position is responsible for supporting the Cabinet team in coordinating the department's, Cabinet, Committee and Appointment business. It is also responsible for supporting the department and Ministers' offices Cabinet, Committee and Appointment business processes and protocols.

Key accountabilities:

  1. Provide support for the coordination and lodgement of department's Cabinet, Committee and Appointment business. 
  2. Liaise with and provide quality advice to departmental staff, Minister's offices and other Victorian Government Departments on all DJPR related Cabinet, Committee and Appointment matters.
  3. Maintain effective relationships for gathering and disseminating information within DJPR, the Ministers' offices and across government.

You will have solid communication and interpersonal skills, be decisive and have a commitment to maintain effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
