The Parliamentary Administration Act 2005 and the Parliamentary Officers (Non-Executive Staff – Victoria) Single Enterprise Agreement will be revised during 2025 and is a nexus agreement to the Victorian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement. It is anticipated that the revised salary range for Grade 3.2 will be $86,691 - $93,275.
About the role
The Department of Parliamentary Services is seeking a Security Support Officer to play an important role in maintaining the security of the Parliamentary precincts and electorate offices. In this role, you will work as part of a team to ensure that administrative and security support functions are executed promptly and to a high standard.
Working with various teams across the department, you will assist and manage sensitive security matters in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical troubleshooting of security systems to internal and external stakeholders;
- Managing incident response and emergency protocols by monitoring security, access control and CCTV systems for electorate offices across Victoria; and
- Providing administrative assistance and technical support to security-related projects and risk management initiatives.
About you
As a dedicated and passionate security professional, operating with integrity, you will bring:
- Strong administrative skills with experience in developing work instructions, carrying out investigations and producing reports.
- The ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining consistency and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with various teams across the department, while providing trusted advice and efficient customer service.
- Experience in managing incident management response systems, access controls and other security related infrastructure.
