Position Details

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT (MULTIPLE POSITIONS)

Ambulance Victoria (AV) invites applications who are suitably experienced Learning & Development / Organisational Development professionals for the following positions in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

  • 1x Full time ongoing
  • 1x Part time ongoing
  • 1x Full time Fixed Term to June 30th 2018

As part of Organisational Development, the Learning and Development team are focused on developing a learning culture in which individuals build their capability and where performance and development approaches are continuously expanded. The primary focus of this role will be to develop and implement learning programs, initiatives, processes and methods in alignment with our organisational objectives.

About the role

Reporting to the Learning & Development Team Leader, the responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development of learning strategies, frameworks and tools to help embed learning within AV culture
  • Conduct learning needs analysis processes on a variety of organisational learning initiatives 
  • Design, develop, deliver and evaluate learning and development initiatives across AV (including leadership development programs)
  • Development of contemporary learning approaches which support learning in the day to day experience of an operational workforce  
  • Review and evaluate effectiveness of learning approaches for continuous improvement
  • Undertake learning & development projects in collaboration with key stakeholders to drive improved organisational performance

About you

The successful applicant, will be tertiary qualified and / or have relevant experience in developing and delivering learning & development programs with a strong understanding of learning and development methodologies and tools, adult learning principles and eLearning design. Experience in leadership development and organisational development is desirable.

You will also possess a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment and be familiar with diagnostic tools such as HBDI, MBTI. Your wide variety of skills will include strong stakeholder and project management (accreditation is desirable), superior communication and the ability to gain support and acceptance of ideas. A background in government or health services will be advantageous.  You will thrive in a team environment where building effective relationships and providing a high level of customer service is valued.
