Position Details

Director, Precinct Development and Projects

  • Provide leadership and oversight for select precincts and projects of economic importance
  • Parental Leave cover for an initial period of 12 months
  • CBD Location

Reporting to the Executive Director, Economic Projects, you manage a team of precinct and project specialists working in partnership with other parts of government and the private sectors to oversee the development of economic precincts and projects of state significance.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Drive and coordinate whole of government activity in relation to the development and implementation of precincts and economic development.
  • Work collaboratively across government, including private sector stakeholders, to ensure government policy objectives are met through precincts and economic projects.
  • Lead the development of advice to support government investment and action in precincts including value creation and capture plans and business case propositions for consideration by the Victoria Government.
  • Provide authoritative leadership and high-quality advice to the Executive Director Economic Projects, other senior management on precinct development and economic development.

To be successful you will have:

  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the development of precincts, infrastructure or economic projects.
  • Extensive experience in a commercial environment inclusive of leading precinct development and capital projects/transactions relating to property, infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with an appreciation of public sector financial, procurement and probity policies.
  • Highly experienced leader in precinct creation and project delivery with a demonstrated ability to manage commercial and contractual issues.
  • Excellent communication and strong conceptual and analytical skills.
