Position Details

  • $66,699 - $80,987 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term – (to July 2019) 
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

 The Investment and Economic Projects division is responsible for investment attraction and facilitation services, working to promote Victoria as a place to invest. The division works with business to increase both foreign and domestic investment and provides whole-of-government precinct development and capital project assistance, facilitation and business case development.

Reporting to the Director, Precinct Development & Projects, the Project Support Officer is an essential member of the team providing high level administrative and project support to Project Directors and Senior Project Managers. Working across a variety of projects, key accountabilities will include:

  • Establishing administrative processes and assisting project teams comply with reporting, legislative and departmental requirements
  • Coordinating the production of various reports including project progress and project risk register reports
  • Preparing and processing ministerial briefs, coordinating and tracking invoice payments and assisting with the reconciliation and management of contractual expenditure
  • Liaise with internal and external clients and manage general and sensitive enquiries

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience providing administrative and project support services, with the ability to schedule and prioritise work independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be required to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external clients combined with the capacity to organise and coordinate a range of tasks within tight timeframes. An understanding or previous experience liaising with ministerial offices would be an advantage.
