The Director, Global Engagement is responsible for managing the international Victorian Government Trade and Investment network.  Working alongside employers and stakeholders across government, the role drives engagement with international governments and organisations, coordinating and reporting on regional market intelligence.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the development and implementation of international strategies and projects to grow Victoria's global economic engagement including the development of strategies focussed on regions and/or countries and new trade and investment market opportunities for Victorian companies internationally.  Managing and providing strategic leadership to a diverse team (locally and off-shore), will see you enabling the delivery of a coordinated approach to international engagement that maximises the value created through international activities to raise the international profile of Victoria.

You will have a proven track record in effectively leading the planning and delivery of internationally focused strategies and projects plus contemporary knowledge of the national and state policy and institutional environment governing Victoria's engagement internationally.  With collaboration being critical, you will be known for your ability to take a proactive approach to engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and your understanding of the global economic environment and the major issues that impact Victorian businesses.  Your success in the role will depend on your ability to execute through other people, both internally and externally.
