Senior Project Officer

  • $93,867 - $113,572 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term – up to 10 months
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)

The position of Senior Project Officer forms a part of the Trade Victoria Division's International Coordination Office Branch within the Employment, Investment and Trade Group.

The Employment, Investment and Trade Group delivers programs and services to grow the Victorian economy.  Its focus is on creating jobs and raising incomes through industry development, targeted investment and increasing the export value of Victorian firms.

Reporting to the Director, Regional Coordination International within the International Coordination Office, the Senior Project Officer supports a team of five Regional Specialists to provide high level, authoritative advice and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders on key economic, political, social and cultural developments in Victoria's key markets and their implications for Victoria's engagement and strategies.

A successful candidate will have experience in detailed analysis, research and developing appropriate policy or program responses relating to international policy or market access issues for the Middle East, Africa and Oceania regions. The position requires excellent collaboration; research capabilities and highly developed communication skills.

Understanding of relevant Government policies, processes and programs and an appreciation of current issues impacting the global business environment and Victoria's international trade and investment objectives is vital to the role.
