Position Details

Director, Trade

A part of the Global Victoria Group, the Trade branch is responsible for developing high level international policy; delivering trade strategies and facilitating market access for Victorian firms to increase Victoria's exports; designing and implementing targeted trade initiatives including inbound and outbound missions.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Trade leads and manages the Trade branch to deliver an international trade policy agenda and the Government's trade missions program, collaborating across the department and ensuring consistency and alignment with the individual sector strategies.  The ability to apply knowledge to the business environment to identify potential opportunities or barriers to trade opportunities is core to this role.

With demonstrated ability to effectively lead the design, planning and delivery of internationally focussed trade activities, your specialist knowledge of and experience in one of Victoria's growth sectors will support your continued appreciation of how local, national and international trade affairs impact Victorian exporters.  As an established leader, with a proven track record in leading high performing teams, you will have the ability to effectively engage and build influence across local and international audiences while fostering and developing key stakeholders.
