Program Coordinator

  • Salary: $97,955 - $111,142 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed term: Until 30 June 2026
  • Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (flexibility may be available)

The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Regional Programs and Investment, the Program Coordinator supports the delivery of a range of economic development initiatives and programs for business and communities across rural and regional Victoria, to enhance and grow economic and community development.

As Program Coordinator, you will work closely with RDV's regional teams and key external stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Support and coordinate regional investment programs, managing pipeline data via the client relationship system.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to administer grants and assess submissions, driving economic development in rural and regional Victoria.
  • Prepare clear, high-quality reports, briefings, and documentation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with policy and legal contexts.

The Team

The position of Program Coordinator forms a part of the Regional Economic Growth and Investment branch within the Regional Development Victoria group.

The group drives economic growth, job creation, resilience, and recovery by working with businesses, communities, and government. It strengthens networks, builds partnerships, and integrates community insights into decision-making, aligning with government priorities.

The branch oversees program delivery across RDV, managing grant assessments and approvals. It collaborates with regional teams to support funded projects and provides commercial advice to facilitate private sector investment and access to industry programs.

About You

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement, with diplomatic and empathetic communication.
  • Written and Verbal Communication: Effective presentation, negotiation, advocacy, and the ability to produce clear, concise reports and briefs on complex issues.
  • Conceptual and Analytical Skills: High-level problem-solving and strategic thinking to resolve operational challenges and drive improvements.
