Position Details

As part of the Machinery of Government changes announced by the Premier of Victoria, from 1 January 2023, the Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions (DJPR) has been renamed Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR). As part of these changes this position will transfer to the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).

The Team

The position of Administration Support Officer forms a part of the Forestry, Resources and Climate Change Group, Resources Branch, Earth Resources Policy and Programs Unit and Mine Land Rehabilitation Authority Team. The Resources Branch develops policy, programs and regulation to enable investment and generate jobs through the sustainable development of the State's earth resources, including extractives, minerals and petroleum.

The Role

The Business Support Officer will provide support to the Mine Land Rehabilitation Authority in the development and administration of budgets, financial management and reporting within the Office of the Latrobe Valley Mine Rehabilitation Commissioner. The position will also provide administration support to the team.

  • Knowledge and experience in providing administration and financial support in government
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills
  • Ability to effectively undertake routine work activities independently or as part of a team
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, email management, internet and the use of database management systems
