- Salary: $113,022 - $136,747 (plus superannuation)

The Role
The Senior Project Officer plays a critical role in driving the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects across Victoria's TAFE network. You will be responsible for ensuring infrastructure project milestones are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, while effectively managing risks and dependencies. The role involves providing high-quality administrative and project support, preparing project documentation (plans, reports, and briefs), and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to build strong, collaborative partnerships. Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and dedication to achieving alignment with organisational priorities and government objectives are expected.
The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills, as well as proven experience in managing stakeholders and projects of varying complexity. Your leadership, capability in analysing challenges, and ability to foster collaboration will ensure positive outcomes for the organisation and the greater community.
Main Accountabilities
- Prepare project briefs consistent with business plan objectives.
- Provide comprehensive analysis of complex issues to support decision-making.
- Manage cross-functional project delivery within a defined service area.
- Negotiate with stakeholders to meet deadlines and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop service plans and standards to support high quality delivery.
The Team
The position of Senior Project Officer forms a part of the TAFE Performance, Finance and Infrastructure branch within the Skills and TAFE Group.
The TAFE Performance, Finance and Infrastructure branch is responsible for driving improved performance within Victoria's TAFE Network, including property management, asset planning, and capital delivery. The branch enhances the quality of education and training by ensuring alignment with industry needs, providing strong accountability frameworks, and supporting efficient operating models. By working collaboratively with TAFEs and stakeholders, the branch fosters positive outcomes for students, employers, and communities across Victoria.
