The Team

The position of Manager, Implementation and Systems – Secure Work Pilot forms as part of the Operations, Insights and Digital branch within the Jobs Victoria, Secure Work and Inclusion group.

Jobs Victoria, Secure Work and Inclusion Group

The Jobs Victoria, Secure Work and Inclusion Group (JVSI) promotes and strengthens economic inclusion for all Victorians.

Secure Work Pilot

The Pilot will aim to improve economic security for many Victorian workers who don't have access to sick and carers pay. This Pilot will consider and evaluate issues including economic, health and productivity impacts, eligibility, payment pathways, and protections for workers who apply to access the Sick Pay Guarantee.

The Role

The Manager Implementation and Systems – Secure Work Pilot will lead the management and enhancement of the system architecture and data model for the Secure Work Pilot.

In November 2020, the Victorian Government announced a new ‘Secure Work Pilot Scheme', which provides up to five days of sick and carer's pay for casual or insecure workers in priority industries. The program was launched as the Victorian Sick Pay Guarantee on 14 March 2022.

The two-year pilot affords these workers sick pay when they are unwell, and carer's pay when they need to take time to look after someone they care for.

The Manager Implementation and Systems is responsible for continuous improvement of systems and data infrastructure to reduce the administrative cost of the program, meet best practice and improve data accessibility. The position is responsible for championing a human centred approach to the system architecture ensuring participants can check eligibility, sign up and apply for their benefit quickly.
