Position Details

The Manager, Asset Management will lead the development and implementation of Ambulance Victoria's (AV) asset management strategies under the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF) supported by high quality asset management policies, systems and practices to achieve optimal return on investment and effective deployment of AV's property, infrastructure, IT and equipment portfolios.

About the role

The Manager, Asset Management position reports directly to the Executive Director Corporate Services.  The main duties of this position includes, but is not limited to:

  • The development and implementation of AV's asset management strategies under the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF)
  • Design and facilitate opportunities to engage and collaborate with external stakeholders such as the Department of Health and Human Services to negotiate oversight arrangements and develop joint asset management initiatives
  • Analyse AV asset management issues and opportunities, and identify/develop the most effective solutions to systems, processes and business improvements
  • Design and implement asset management systems and processes that support high quality research and analysis to deliver improved asset management utilisation and deployment
  • Drive the implementation of organisation wide asset performance management and reporting

About you

To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate experience in a senior management role in the development and delivery of strategic asset management systems, policies and procedures within a complex environment as well as working with electronic asset recording and management systems. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to confidently liaise with other senior managers.
