About the role

As a Financial Transactions Support Officer, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial processing across accounts payable and receivable. Working within the Finance and Business Services team, you will support day-to-day transactional finance operations while ensuring compliance, data integrity, and excellent customer service.

Your core responsibilities will include processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, assisting with journals and reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end financial activities. You will also respond to stakeholder enquiries, identify discrepancies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build their finance career in a structured, high-volume environment, with opportunities to develop skills in financial systems, reporting, and government finance processes.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in financial administration, accounts payable and/or receivable, ideally in a high-volume or government environment
  • Understanding of transactional accounting processes including invoicing, reconciliations and data management
  • Certificate in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (or working towards) – desirable
