About the role:  

As the Asset Strategy and Planning Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the strategic planning, coordination and delivery of Parks Victoria's infrastructure and asset portfolio. Working as part of the Infrastructure and Assets team, this position contributes to the development and implementation of strategies, plans, investment priorities and asset frameworks such as AMAF (Asset Management Accountability Framework) that enable the effective construction, maintenance and management of visitor infrastructure, assets and facilities across Victoria's parks, reserves and designated waterways.

About Parks Victoria

Parks Victoria is responsible for managing a diverse estate of more than 4 million hectares including 3,000 land and marine parks and reserves making up 18 per cent of Victoria's landmass, 75 per cent of Victoria's wetlands and 70 per cent of Victoria's coastline. Victoria's parks are home to more than 4,300 native plants and around 1,000 native animal species.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in performance monitoring and reporting for asset management programs
  • Demonstrated contract management experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Asset Management, Business or formal project management certification/qualifications is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in asset management, infrastructure planning, or related field.
