Position Details

About the role
As a Ranger at Parks Victoria, you could be working across a diverse range of tasks and activities, all of which are aimed at preserving our parks, engaging with the community and hands-on maintenance of our facilities. This can include:
- conservation program delivery
- maintainance of our infrastructure
- delivery of education programs
- engagement with local community groups
- working with Traditional Owners in joint management arrangements
You will be playing a key role in delivering across a variety of projects ad-hoc practical tasks that are essential in keeping our Parks open, safe and clean.
We're looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in self-management and supervisory skills
- Demonstrated experience in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- The incumbent must be available to work weekends and public holidays if required
- A tertiary qualification in Certificate or Diploma in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is preferable

About the Team
Staff working within the Echuca work centre are responsible for providing efficient and effective implementation of a broad range of often complex park management functions including natural, cultural and built asset management, visitor management and services, stakeholder management and park planning.
