Position Details
- Build and nurture key relationships with external groups and stakeholders
- Develop and implement effective communication and engagement plans with a clear direction
- Ongoing, full time role with flexible working arrangements on offer
About the role and your responsibilities:
The role contributes to the implementation of communication and engagement plans and partnership activities that ensure communities and partners have timely and accessible information, and clear opportunities to participate in the management and enjoyment of parks and reserves.
Working within established frameworks and priorities, the position supports the coordination of engagement activities, events, communications, and volunteer programs to enhance participation and deliver positive environmental, cultural and visitor outcomes.
This role plays an important part in strengthening Parks Victoria's connection with community and partners, supporting place-based engagement and contributing to the effective delivery of regional priorities.
We're looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience leading and delivering stakeholder engagement initiatives in complex organisational or government settings
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in in communications, engagement, public policy, or a related field
- Experience working in or alongside communications teams, with the ability to lead, guide, or collaborate effectively with communications professionals to deliver integrated engagement and communication strategies
- Knowledge of best-practice stakeholder engagement frameworks, including deliberative and co-design approaches
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and foster productive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
