About the role:
The Project Manager / Superintendent is responsible for establishing governance of capital projects to ensure that projects are managed in accordance with Parks Victoria's P3M Project Management Framework and in accordance with Parks Victoria's key procedures, guidelines and policies including Procurement and Risk Management.
The Project Manager will be required to partner with stakeholders at all stages of the project lifecycle and provide technical advice to the organisation in relation to the delivery of Capital Projects.
In addition, the Project Manager / Superintendent will also be responsible for the effective oversight of on ground delivery of projects, working closely with consultants and construction contractors to ensure effective delivery, quality control and safety.
We're looking for someone with:
- Extensive experience in the delivery of large-scale infrastructure or landscape projects, ideally within government or public sector environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, urban design and planning, architecture and construction management or similar field.
- Proven track record in project management, including managing scope, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships.
- Familiarity with contract management, procurement processes, and financial oversight in a government context.
