Contract Manager – Portfolio Assets

  • Salary Range: $92,332 - $104,762 (plus superannuation)
  • Ongoing Full time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual Work Location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)

The Role

The position of Contract Manager – Portfolio Assets forms part of the Strategy and Delivery branch within Creative Victoria.

  • Support the development and administration of Annual Maintenance Plans and Asset Renewal Plans to ensure State-owned facilities and assets are appropriately maintained, including supporting the oversight of the development and acquittal of the Annual Maintenance Program.
  • Maintain and follow systems and processes for the delivery of facility management for State owned facilities and assets, liaising closely with tenant organisations facility managers.
  • Support the team's maintenance of:
    • Accurate and quality data in the Asset Information Management System to ensure effective decision making can be made for State-Owned facilities.
    • Accurate budget and administrative documentation for capital projects and programs, including maintaining budget spreadsheets, document management, and generating reports.
    • Procurement contracts for suppliers to deliver as required maintenance and compliance activities on State Owned Tenanted Facilities.

The Team

This position sits within the Strategy and Delivery branch. This branch brings Creative Victoria's programs and investment in support of artists, creative workers, creative organisations and businesses, and portfolio agencies, together with our work to improve access to affordable space and deliver world-class creative infrastructure. This branch also leads on policy and strategy for the Creative State.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Problem Solving:  Seeks relevant information for problem-solving; questions and probes for the facts; identifies and proposes workable solutions to problems.
  • Project and resource management: Demonstrated ability to produce detailed project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified; monitor performance against objectives and identify and escalate project risks and issues. Prepare and monitor expenditure against budgets; raise resource issues in a constructive and solution-focussed way; use honest, transparent, and appropriate purchasing processes
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify issues in common for one or more stakeholders and support the team to build partnerships; identify and respond to stakeholder's underlying needs; find innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues.
