Position Details

Salary: $113,022 – $136,747 (plus superannuation)
Tenure: Fixed term until November 2026
Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)

The Role
The Manager Information and Support Services plays a key role in supporting apprenticeship policy and program development within Apprenticeships Victoria, particularly work arising from Apprenticeships Taskforce recommendations. The role leads the development and maintenance of information and support programs for apprentices and trainees, covering areas such as wages, mental health, employment conditions, training pathways and access to support services. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management, people management, research and problem-solving skills, along with highly developed written and editorial capability and the ability to quickly build a deep understanding of the apprenticeship and traineeship system.

Main Accountabilities
• Initiate research and analysis within an area of expertise aligned to organisational objectives
• Develop briefs on complex issues, providing options for consideration and decision-making
• Prepare technical reports at an advanced professional level
• Provide leadership in applying policy concepts to operational matters
• Formulate policy options and advice

The Team
This role sits within the Insights and Reform Unit in Apprenticeships Victoria, part of the Skills and TAFE Group.

Apprenticeships Victoria works in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver a pipeline of skilled workers for priority industries. The Skills and TAFE Group provides leadership and oversight of Victoria's vocational education and training system, supporting inclusive, high-quality pathways into the workforce.

About You
You bring strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships and identify shared priorities to deliver outcomes. You have demonstrated experience in project delivery, translating strategy into practical programs, and can manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
