About the branch

The Regional Services Division is responsible for the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services. On-ground works and services will conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management.

About the role

As the Ranger Team Leader you will lead a team of staff to deliver high quality services in line with the Regional Operations Plan, with support and under the direction of the Area or Functional Chief Ranger. The position will work as a key member of the Area or Functional team in delivering on-ground services. You will demonstrate a strong personal work ethic for team members to follow and ensure that District employees maintain a high standard of personal accountability and compliance with the Code of Conduct. You will guide & inspire the best from your team to ensure that all aspects of compliance are met within Park Victoria's policies and procedures.

 

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Under the direction of the Ranger in Charge supervise and manage the team to ensure individual and divisional goals are achieved and services are provided in an effective and timely manner.
  • Promote an environment of Cooperation for continual improvement of team performance.
  • Support the Ranger in Charge and Functional Chief Rangers on specific park planning requirements
  • With the Ranger in Charge, assist, advise and support relevant stakeholders within designated area

 

To be successful for this role you need:

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team, a tertiary qualification in Science is desirable and a current Victorian driver's license is required.
