About the role

The primary focus of this critical leadership role in the North West District is to support fire management activities and to build relationships with for unified leadership with workcentre Ranger Team Leaders of the Southern Mallee Area Chief Ranger area.

The role will play a critical role in coordination of the recruitment program for seasonal Project Fire Fighters, and leading a dynamic team of rangers to deliver fire preparation, readiness and response while coordinating works with the wider District team.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated extensive experience in leadership, performance management and managing a team day to day
  • Enthusiasm, a positive attitude with a strong personal work ethic
  • Experience in fire and emergency/or park management is desirable
  • 4x4 experience/or accreditation is desirable
