Position Details
Systems Officer
- Salary: $79,122 - $96,073 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term role: 6 months
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
The Role
The Systems Officer role sits within the Government and Parliamentary Services Unit in the Performance & Governance Branch of the Corporate Services Group and reports to the Manager, Government and Parliamentary Services.
The responsibilities of the Systems Officer will include:
- Supporting coordination of the department's preparation for the Budget and Financial and Performance Outcomes PAEC questionnaire and hearings.
- Assisting in maintaining guidelines, procedures, and content for GPS systems to ensure effective service delivery.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for key business systems such as eBriefings, eCabinet, WebPPQ, PAEC, Corporate Connect, and SharePoint.
The Team
The position of Systems Officer forms a part of the Strategy, Performance and Governance branch within the Corporate Services group.
The Corporate Services Group consists of specialist functions including strategic communications, finance, investment and procurement, performance and governance, legal and legislation, people and culture, information technology and workplace services and the close out of activities related to the Commonwealth Games. The Strategy, Performance and Governance Branch aims to continually enhance the effectiveness of the Corporate Services Group and the broader department.
About You
The successful candidate should ideally have the following skills and experience;
- Experience supporting the resolution of technical issues, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external technical experts to help identify and implement solutions.
- Demonstrated understanding of corporate business IT systems, including basic experience with platforms such as SharePoint.
- Initiative and adaptability, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and make a positive contribution to broader team objectives.
