The Role

The Advisor plays an important role in delivering programs that invest in Victoria's creative organisations—programs that drive a thriving creative economy and deliver a wide range of creative opportunities and experiences that benefit all Victorians.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing key funding agreements and program deliverables, supporting the day-to-day operations of the team, and contributing to a positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused workplace culture. You will actively engage with colleagues across Creative Victoria and support capability-building initiatives that strengthen sector outcomes.

Main accountabilities:

• Manages projects, usually under limited direction
• Prepares reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues that impact at program or organisational level
• Conveys specialist concepts and policies to clients, staff and stakeholders
• Resolves operational service delivery problems consistent with program objectives Interprets and applies business plans and policies to own area of responsibility.

The Team

The position of Adviser, Creative Enterprises, forms a part of the Policy and Delivery branch within Creative Victoria. The Policy and Delivery branch has 3 units, Agencies and Infrastructure, Creative Investment and Policy and Development.

The branch brings together Creative Victoria's programs and investment in support of artists, creative workers, creative organisations, businesses, and portfolio agencies, with our work to manage and deliver world-class creative infrastructure. The branch also leads on policy and coordination across government and industry, and the development of Victoria's creative industries strategy.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate your strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement expertise and critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
